Balance on minimum paymentsEnrolled balance in program

Illustrative only. Assumes minimum payments of 1% of balance plus interest (at least $25) with no new charges, and a program outcome of 50% of enrolled debt plus a 22% fee. Actual settlements, fees, timelines and credit impact vary. Not an offer.

Why minimums take so long

Minimum payments are often around 1% of the balance plus that month's interest. As the balance falls, the payment shrinks too, which stretches repayment out for years.

What the program estimate assumes

We model a typical settlement of about 50% of the enrolled balance plus a 22% fee, spread evenly over the program length you choose. Your actual results will differ.

What it leaves out

Credit score impact, potential taxes on forgiven debt, and the chance a creditor won't settle. Your specialist will cover all of these on your call.
